Look what God's grace did.
It’s been a minute since I’ve sent a devotional, but God dropped something in my spirit in my morning meditation and I just had to share it. I’m studying Ephesians, and this morning I focused on chapter 1 verses 1-6. Check it out:
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
You are blameless and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Imagine that! In verse 4 Paul calls us holy and blameless. He says that God actually chose us to be holy and blameless. But do you actually see yourself this way? When I think about who I am and what I’ve done, neither holy or blameless come to mind.
But God says otherwise! We were predestined for adoption through the sacrifice of Jesus. And because of his great love we are blameless. We’ve been blameless from the start because that’s the way God designed it.
Let that rest in your spirit today. Lift your head up.
